Wow its been awhile!!!

So I've been really bad about keeping up with this blog, but hey life happens. The last time I did update was fall so yes a ton has happened since then. To start Christmas was great we enjoyed being with family again this year. I made a Courtney a ski chair which turned out great. Courtney got me some great stuff including a new ladder!!! Now maybe I won't get hurt trying to get on the roof lol. The Utes of course won their bowl game against Bama and wow what a great season!!!
We've had the chance to catch up with one of my buddies from college Wagga, he and his wife flew into the US from Australia to visit a few different places. It was great showing them around Utah and going sledding!!! Then in February Ben and Erin came to visit and ski with me and Courtney. They came over valentines day so we got to go out to a really nice dinner and just enjoy being with friends.
On the job front I did get promoted in Feb, and now work at our SLC campus as the senior financial officer which is cool. And since now I commute from Ogden to SLC I had to get rid of the old SUV, its been a great run but the gas was killing me so I got a Nissan maxima which I love. Other than that not to much else is going on, spring is getting close and im ready for some warm weather. Hopefully this summer will bring some great times. Until next time peace...

Ok so its been awhile......

So in this post will have quite a few thing to talk about, from my grandmother coming to visit, to Ben and Erin's wedding, and me and Courtney's trip to Lake Tahoe for Halloween.

Ok first of all my grandma came into town with my aunt to visit which was a big deal since my grandma Munson hates to fly. We got to hang out a ton and Courtney took a few picks at my parents and our house.

Me and Eric's Birthdays came and went and we had fun hanging out with family and friends. Me and Courtney went out to eat with our friends at a Irish Bar in Layton which I must say had some damn good food. Then of course we went to my parents on Sunday to met up with my brother and have cake and ice cream which is always fun with the twins around. Our good friends Willie and Christy got to see my parents house for the first time also.

The Utes of course are now as of sat 9-0!!!!!! So me and Courtney have been having a blast at the games this year and can't wait to see what happens yet. GO UTES!!!!!

Ben and Erin's wedding was such a blast we took a ton of photos and just really enjoyed seeing everyone and watching my best friend get married. The weekend of course was spent doing many activities over many beers and wine lol. In all just a really great weekend.

Finally me and Courtney just got back from Nevada where we went with our friends Willie and Christy to see Lake Tahoe for the Freakers Ball for Halloween. What a night we had, not only did we get to finally see Lake Tahoe, but we also got to see and meet some of Willie and Christy's good friends and family. We took a quick trip to Virgina City which is right outside of Reno and Carson City, its where Christy went to high school and is one of the coolest little towns I've ever been to. I also got a chance to ride some mini bikes and Christy's sisters house and Courntey took some video of my sad attempt lol, im the guy in the twins shirt. In all we had a great time and look forward to getting back to Lake Tahoe in the summer.

Chuck Norris Signs my package!!!

So thats about it so far, 2008 is coming to a close and Thanksgiving is right around the corner, hope all is well with everyone and as always your welcome here anytime.

Summer 2008 and the Start of Fall

Wow where to start its been so long. Well first both me and Courtney are doing great. Her birthday was the 8th of June, and went to see one of our friends from high school play at brewzkis which was alot of fun. The summer was over way to quickly. We didn't travel as much as we did last year, but we did take our annual camping trip with her family over the 24th of July.

As you can see from the pics we had a good time,

We did go see Jack Johnson in concert a few weeks ago, and that was fun but to have a concert on a Monday is just lame.

We also celebrated our other nieces birthdays in August. They both got new bikes and were very excited to ride them.

The Utes are back in action and beat Michigan at the big house which is a great way to start the season. Me and Courtney just went to the Utes first home game against UNLV and although it started slow the Utes picked it up in the second half and beat the crap out of them. I also tested out Courtney's new camera and its video so you'll have to let me know what you think.

Other than that nothing much to report, we got to see our good friends Cory and Shelly and their little boy Ryan. It was great to see them and it sucks that they live in Washington but oh well. Oh and in October me and Court will be flying to my best friends wedding in Atlanta which we can't wait for. I'll make sure to post soon after. Well my birthday is coming up and I'll be 27 I can't believe how fast time goes as you get older. But here's to enjoying every minute of it. Until next time, feel free to drop by the Munson's your always welcome here.

Spring is here Bring on Summer

Wow how long has it been? Does anyone even read this blog? lol not that I care, its a great way to look back and let everyone whats going on.

Well lets see last time I blogged it was the ski season, and lets just say it was a great one. For all of those that missed their time here in Utah this year aka (Ben, Erin, Justin,) don't worry I'm sure that next year will absolutely suck............not that I'm bitter at all.........

But spring is here and summer is very, very close. For all of those keeping track I finally finished my Masters!!!!! So now I can look for a new job in the worst job market in history.......sweet...... I've not really been looking all to hard though, things at work have being going well, plus they did give me a raise so its not to bad to stick around for a little while. I did apply to lets just say a government agency.......I'm not sure what I can and cannot say about it, but I'll let you know if anything crazy happens with it. Courtney is doing well, working hard as always, we've really hit the yard this spring so our projects list is through the roof, but hey thats the beauty of owning a home right?

Oh its apparently wedding season since three of my good friends are getting married this summer and fall. I was supposed to be in all three weddings, but as fate would have it two of the weddings are on the same day in different states, so I had to choose which one to go to, which by the way sucked. But I am looking forward to the weddings and of course the receptions!!!!! aka beer lol for those that know me, sadly they know im serious lol.

Oh I did forget to mention my trip to Vegas in March with my brother, Willie and Bobo. It was a complete guys trip and all we did was play poker, which was sweet. So heres a little rundown of our trip. We left friday morning and arrived in Vegas around 230. We went to my brothers time share which kicked ass by the way, and then straight to our first poker tourney. We decided to play at the Orleans hotel and casino just off the strip due to the fact it was close to the time share and not a bad buy-in at 105.00. So we started the tourney with a little over 150 people long story short (I dont want to bore those who know nothing about poker) the other guys busted early in the first few rounds and moved on to the cash game, I on the other hand played my ass off and about 6 hours latter made it to 15 place before going out winning about 350.00 bucks not to bad for the first night in Vegas.

The second day we went to Binions downtown which if you've never gone to downtown Vegas I suggest you take a cab over, its got the old school feel of Vegas plus a huge covered street to walk down. So we played another tourney and again everyone but me busted early, now im not saying I'm great at poker I just hit some great cards. So they paid through 13 places and I took 17th oh well still had a blast. Well since this trip report is getting way to long I'll some the whole thing up, we played all cash games for the rest of the trip and had a great time, the fellas were great company and how can you not have fun in Vegas.

One other trip I did get to go on was a quick trip to TN to celebrate my buddy Ishii's 30th bday, and Bretto's 27th bday. It was great to see Ishii and Barbie and their two little kids, We had alot of fun and drank many Jap beers which is always a good thing, well enjoy the pictures and until next time have a great summer and come and stay with the Munsons!!!!

Holidays and more at the Munsons

Hello everyone I thought it was time to update everyone on whats going on in me and Courtney's lives. Last time I posted I had mentioned that me and Court were on our way to Ohio to see my grandparents, it was a blast me and Court learned alot about my mom's side of the family that weekend lol. My Grandpa is one of the funniest guys around, he was telling stories about world war II and growing up with all his friends, it was a good time. We also went on a mystery dinner train ride, which I know sounds really bad, but it was really entertaining and alot of fun. We took some pictures at the train station as you can see it was cold but alot of fun. After that we enjoyed the rest of the Utah football season, which I must say ended up ok, after a horrible start, we lost to BY POO but next year we got em at home and you better believe will be ready!!!

The holidays went really well, we did the two family thing again this year again, going from family to the other, but no conflicts came up this year so thats was good. Christmas was a blast I got some great stuff from Courtney and I got her a new stove among other things.

Ski season this year has been unbelievable for all those that have not come out this year to ski you need to asap. I'm working on Sundays at Wolf Mountain selling lift passes, so me and Court got a free season pass. If you haven't guess it its been snowing like crazy this year!!!!

I'm working on my thesis for my masters and will be done within the next month!!!! I can't wait to be done, and see what kind of doors will open up for me.

Also I just built my first poker table, it turned out really well and I'll post some finished product pictures as soon as I take them, but for now here I am working hard on it.

Well thats about all thats been going on, looking forward to the rest of this ski season, and 2008.

Hope all is well with everyone and our door is always open to anyone that would like to visit we love to have you!!
